Zara + H&M Affordable Fall Basics Try-On Haul

It’s been a HOT minute since I’ve been shopping in an actual store. So, it’s safe to say that I went a little overboard when I walked into Zara and H&M this past week, especially with all the fall newness and end-of-summer sales happening! (PS. If you’re a sale-lover, like me, head on over to Today’s Sales for daily deals and discounts!)

Zara and H&M are especially great when it comes to basics. So, here is a try-on haul summary of the fall basics that I scooped up last week, and some styling/outfit ideas and inspiration!

Zara Plaid Mini Dress // $49.90

Kari’s thoughts: I loooove this dress, and I think that it’s perfect for a family party (Thanksgiving dinner?) or a day at a winery with friends. I definitely suggest sizing up in this dress if you are bootylicious, like me, as it is a bit short.

(Similar Item) H&M Hoodie // Sage Green // $19.99

Kari’s thoughts: I couldn’t find this exact item online (I think it was on sale), but H&M has a ton of basic hoodie options. I love this one because of the pockets on the sleeve. It’s super comfy, and perfect paired with jeans for football Sunday or with sweats for a lazy Sunday. I also love this sage green color for fall!

H&M Long Jacket // White // $34.99

(Similar Item) H&M Narrow Belt // $9.99

Kari’s thoughts: I’ve never been a big blazer person, but I’m so happy I finally hopped on this trend. Oversized blazers are SO in for fall this year, and they are a great alternative to a bulky jacket, as it starts to get colder. You can dress blazers up or down, depending on the look you are going for, but a pair of high-waisted black jeans is always a good option.

Zara Z1975 Baggy Paperbag Jeans // $45.90

Kari’s thoughts: I have always absolutely loved Zara’s pants, especially the fit. I can usually count on the fit being correct, which makes it super easy to shop online. Even when it comes to these baggy pants, the waist fit perfectly, and they are super flattering and comfortable. I want to go back and buy these pants in 100 different colors!

Zara Pleated Palazzo Pants // $45.90

(Similar Item) H&M Modal Turtleneck Top in Brown/Zebra Print // $3.99

Kari’s thoughts: I have another similar pair of pants like this from Zara, and they’re one of my favorite pairs EVER. They’re so comfortable, but can easily be dressed up for day or night. They also go with absolutely everything! The top was just a fun Sale find that I thought could be used for Halloween or a night out in autumn!

Zara Ripped Mom Fit Jeans // $45.90

H&M Ribbed Tank Top // $3.99

Kari’s thoughts: I literally can not stop wearing these jeans. They are so versatile and comfortable, and I feel so trendy wearing them! I wasn’t exactly sure about the “mom fit” but I am officially on board with this trend. The best part about these jeans is that you can totally dress them up, as well as down! I also couldn’t resist this top–it’s the perfect color for fall!

H&M Oversized Jacket (Brown/houndstooth-patterned) // $49.99

Kari’s thoughts: Another fabulous blazer find! You gotta love a nice houndstooth option for fall. This one can also just be worn as a jacket (it’s really thick), which is great. Plus, I LOVE a dramatic shoulder pad moment.
